REQUIEM IMAGE

Lynnette from the UK has been in contact with both Sony and Randy Fung, the designer of the billboard message, and received permission for 500 fans to use the design below on a T-shirt. The design is free and must not be sold.

To be able to distribute the image, and ensure we adhere to the copyright arrangement, a form has been designed. If you would like to receive the image, which is of a size suitable to be printed on a shirt, please fill in the form. You will receive an email with the image within a few days.

Thank you Lynnette for organising this for David’s fans.

Campaign to get David a star in Las Vegas

Fans have begun a campaign to get David a star in Las Vegas, at the Walk Of Stars. It has already been approved by the Walk Of Stars Committee, and has a tentative date to be completed in April 2019.

The target is $20,000 which includes all fees and the ceremony. All donations are tax deductable.

This is all being done by the fans, for the fans and his family. All information can be found on David Cassidy’s Star Facebook page.

In 1996, David took over the lead role at the MGM Grand in the $75 million extravaganza EFX. The producers of EFX had seen David in “Blood Brothers” and contacted him about taking over the lead role. David said he would as long as he could have creative input into making major changes.

Under David Chisium and David Cassidy’s creative direction, EFX was entirely re-vamped. They gave it more of a plot, made it less dark, introduced a circus act, and David Cassidy wrote new music for the play.

EFX then became the most successful production in Las Vegas. The MGM acknowledged that David Cassidy was singularly responsible for bringing over 1 million paid customers to see EFX. Within four months of opening, the show was voted “Most Improved Show in Las Vegas”, “Best Production Show” in Las Vegas, and David was voted “Best All Around Performer” and “Best Singer.”

In 1999, David was again named “Best All Around Performer” in the Review Journal’s Best of Las Vegas. He was also chosen City Life’s “Entertainer of the Year” and was dubbed “Show Star of the Year” by Gaming Today.
