One year ago today I lost my friend, mentor, brother from another mother, musician, artist, thespian, father, DC, the professor, David Bruce Cassidy. He was a truly unique American Artist, that changed pop music forever. He loved making music as much as anyone I have ever known.
Despite all his trials and tribulations, he always was hopeful. A generous spirit, a big heart, that had to endure the constant struggle of living in an era that he could not abide by. He would quote Lennon constantly, “Love is all we need”. Yet much to his dismay, the world seemed not to listen…
Despite all that, with his music he tried to share the feeling and spirit of his generation. I know he inspired many, and he made me exponentially a better person and artist for having known him. See you on the other side brother, I can still hear you singing in quiet moments of self reflection. You are missed and will never be forgotten.
Love you brother…

Craig: We hear ya. Prayers to all today. For SURE, DC will never be forgotten.

Warmest Thanksgiving Wishes to you, Mary. Sian
Same to you Sian!
To me was so sad, my fun died just 4 days after I had started to find out what had happened to him, since I did not know about him, when he left The Patridge family. I waited for many Tuesday’s in front of the TV hoping to watch this TV program and never showed out again. I stayed wanting more of him.
Your fan forever

Very true friend. Love to yourself and the rest of the band.
Thank you Craig for your wonderful words. David and his music will never be forgotten. He will have a place in my heart forever. Warmest greetings.
David was very talented ,and I enjoy listening to his music ,and he won’t be forgotten .I have just spent the 21 November ,with my friend’s Weronika Beverley ,Jane ,Diane Deb Doreen ,who I meet on this website .we had a memorable day ,such a warm friendship .we meet outside the Phoenix theatre. Then we went to the church near by to sign David’s book and I lit a candle in his memory. we had lunch together, and remembered David ,we have such fond memories of him .I couldn’t have gone through today without my friend’s love to you Craig and the rest of the band.
Craig, thank you for your post. As Claudette posted, a group of us chose to spend this day in each others’ company remembering David. David left a wonderful legacy, not least our growing friendship. We ‘met’ on this site and are now good friends. He has inspired us- no more wasted time. Claudette has taken up guitar again Weronika had written a brilliant book on DC. I aim to get back to my writing this year. He is still a huge inspiration and source of joy and love to us. Bless you David.
David didn’t waste time – he was hopeful despite everything and always trying to move on – beautiful words from DC’s wonderful friend and musician, Craig X
David’s last words were “so much wasted time” so he thought he had wasted time.
I believe Jane’s comment means David’s last words have inspired us to make sure we don’t waste any time because life is precious
Thank you Craig for your special words about your friend, David.
Rest assured, David will always be remembered by loving family, friends, peers & his faithful fans.
As Claudette & Jane have mentioned, a difficult day was made easier by being in the company of friends, who all love David today as much as when we first did in the early 1970s.
Our budding friendship began on this site, and we truly believe, will continue with David’s blessing. It feels that it was just meant to be.
In the words of David’s song, “Remember Me….”, and we do.
Rest in peace DBC..
A truly sad day. Gone but never forgotten. His legacy lives on.
Rest in Peace David.
My first love. Never Forgotten, always loved. Miss you like Whoah DC. Heaven gained a beautiful soul…..see you again someday.
Geri
Miss you still David. Rest in peace.
Craig, David up there, no longer in pain, and you Craig are a remarkable person, and David Cassidy had a great friend, and brother. You cared, your post to us fans, especially today was heartfelt and made today bring back all the good things that make David Cassidy memories so special. And you Craig shared yours with us fans. Thank you, and you also are in our thoughts.
One year and I miss you. You where so talented. The like we will never see again. Love You. Jane.
Thank you Craig for your heartfelt post for David,it has been a very difficult day for all us who loved him dearly……..Yourself and the rest of the band were the best friends anyone could have asked for.
..definitely YVONNE…..we thank you from the bottom of our heart’s….for being there…till the end…love and miss David….forever…and a day xx👌💋😪💔
Craig, thank you for your kind words about David and how you are feeling on this sad day. I never had the chance to meet him but I know he was the most kind, caring and beautiful man inside and out, not to forget the most multitalented. He was the best of the best, both personally and professionally. He endured so much in his life and deserved so much more and respect from the entertainment industry which was sorely lacking. David has left a lasting legacy for his fans and I am so appreciative that I lived in his time and was able to send him messages on this website. Thinking of you and all the band members and of course Beau, Katie and all David’s family, friends and fans today. I’ll never get over his loss, I love him so much and will forever.

Thank you, Craig, for your words, a true friend to David. It’s been a difficult day for many of us, but you had the privilege of knowing him as a real friend and it must really hurt. Many people took the trouble to send emails to our BBC Radio 2 programme “Sounds of The 70s” last Sunday when they played two of David’s many songs as a tribute. For me, David will always be in my heart.
Thank you Craig for your wonderful words, David will never the forgotten.
The difficult day of 21st November has been made easier for me by meeting with Beverley, Weronika, Claudettee, Jane , Diane and Deb, we “met” on this website. We remembered David with fond memories and he is still a huge inspiration to us.
Rest in peace David.
Thank you Craig for your heartfelt words. They say you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone. Fortunately for us, we know what we had in him. A beautiful man, multi talented, with a beautiful soul. He is joyful now, forever.
Thinking of David and his family friends, and fans on this sad day. What a difficult year it’s been! David’s death has been hard on all of us. This will be the second Thanksgiving since he passed away, and it will be the first one since my Dad passed away. My Mom and I, and everybody who knew and love my Dad are thinking of him, as well.
I hope everybody, including David’s family and friends, has a happy Thanksgiving. Being with family and friends has a way of lifting your spirits, and I hope that this Thanksgiving will be no different. We David Cassidy fans made it through the first year since David’s death. I just hope and pray that the years to come will better ones.
Dear Kelly,
Love and prayers to you and your family. We know what you’re feeling. My mother in law passed away on Nov. 13, last week. All of our loved ones are gone now. Treasure the memories. God bless everyone on this Thanksgiving day,

Yesterday, was a day to remember..So sad , but we were together, remembered David Cassidy. And London is such a special place ..I was driving past the Dorchester Hotel besieged by 15 000 fans in 1972 when he was in London for the first time, The Phoenix Theatre, The Dominion Theatre, , Wembley Arena he played in 1973, Hammersmith Apollo, Syon Park, radio stations, tv studios, houses he lived in, clubs he went to..It would be great to have such a book, a kind of tour guide with fans’ memories..”David Cassidy in London..”
Thank you Beverley, Claudette, Deb, Diane , Jane and Doreen. for your company yesterday.
Thank you David Cassidy, we felt your presence….
Always and forever in my heart.
“Only a moment ago..”

Craig,
It has been one long nightmare of a year and yet it feels like we just lost him. I don’t know what the future holds for the efforts to get David the recognition he deserves, like the Star in Las Vegas, but his music will live on and most importantly he we live on forever in our minds and hearts. When David left he took with him the part of my heart that has belonged to him since I was 9 years old, and I will never be the same without it.
Thank you for being such a good friend to him, caring about him, and helping him when he needed you.
What a beautiful message Mary – I feel the same way. I liked it better before when David was singing and enjoying his life.
There is no one else like David Cassidy. He was one in a million.
Happy Thanksgiving. Let’s strengthen our love with the 1977 reunion show.

” I love you in a place where there’s no space or time
I love you for my life, you are a friend of mine
And when my life is over
Remember when we were together
We were alone and I was
Singing my song for you.”
I have just watched your documentary about David, it has moved me so much, you his band were so wonderful and supportive as I am sure he has been in times to each one of you, you gave his exit from this world…. an easier passage. Heartfelt respect to you all. Louella Foyle
Beautiful words Craig and truly meant by you and all of us. Missing him so much. He will always be in my heart. Such a beautiful and talented man. He was never recognised for the talent he had. He will live on forever with his music and with our love.
It was evident from watching David Cassidy – The Last Session here in the UK on Friday that there was a real mutual respect between David and his band.
It was heart breaking to see him struggle so much in his final days and the fact he skipped his painkiller to help his vocals when recording ‘Songs my Father Taught Me’ was testament to his lifelong commitment to giving his all, never happy with anything less than perfect.
David’s schedule was relentless for decades right up until his death and it was remarkable how he lived through that level of fame.
One year on and we all miss him as much as ever but his music lives on.
Thank you Craig for those heartfelt words.
I watched David Cassidy, The last session as well and agree totally with what Jan B wrote.
It was heartbreaking to watch but the love and warmth that was shown between David and his band was very touching.
Thank you Craig for your special words.
David will always have a special place in my heart.
David will always be missed but is resting in peace.
Angela Mitchell
Thinking of David takes me back to better times in my youth. His music lives on.

Thank you Craig, you are a good soul!
Thank you for being such a good friend to David. He may be gone, but never forgotten. Wish He was here.
Kindest regards,Crystal mcroberts Scotland. X
Thank you Craig for writing about David Cassidy. You were so fortunate to have known him personally. I think he was the best singer ever and I loved seeing him in concerts and in his play “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” You gave us some insight into him by your testament to him. Is there anything else you can tell us like what was his favorite snack? What did he like on his Pizza? Did he work-out or how did he stay so fit? If you do not want to answer it is okay. I just wondered those things about him over the years. We are all better off for being able to hear David’s beautiful voice and listening to his albums and music over the years!
God bless you and I hope you have a Happy New Year 2019!
Craig, thank you for being such a genuine friend to David. May he rest in peace but always be with you in spirit. xx
Beautiful sentiments Craig. David will also live on in our hearts. A truly genuine person with a big heart. I miss him so very much.
Sheila
Such a talented man, so glad to have grown up in such a wonderful time, wish I could have seen him in concert, however maybe I can catch Beau at one of his concerts
That was beautiful and well said. He was a gorgeous singer and his voice was like no other.
Reminiscing about David’s final concert at Lucille’s 2 years ago. Has it really been that long? I miss him…
….David will ALWAYS be in our heart’s….THX so much for being there Craig…and of course the rest of the band…the world is a sadder place….but David’s legacy will live on…if WE fan’s have anything to do with it! X👌💋❣❣❤❤
Saw the HLN Documentary about David tonight; I miss him so and needed to catch a glimpse of him.
Will always Love and Appreciate his Spirit, and ALL that he gave to us.
