The Wrecking Crew

I learned so much from John and Tom and all of the singers. In the 70s there were few, if any, who could compare with their talent and singing acumen. As a singer I was naïve and raw when I met them. I learned so much from them. It was an education in background singing and harmonies. I was always enhanced by their remarkable educated talent. I will be eternally grateful for what I learned from them. God Bless you Tom and your brother John and Jackie and all the others who made my life so wonderful. I will never forget you.

David’s message above was in reply to a message from Thomas Bähler, posted by Thomas on his Facebook page:

Someone brought this special [The Partridge Family – The Complete Story] to my attention this morning – it is a sweet journey down memory lane – I had no idea that “I THINK I LOVE YOU” was the number 1 selling single in 1970 – beating out The Beatles “LET IT BE” – WTF – for us it was another gig – a very pleasant experience working with good friends and making new friends – loved working with Jackie Ward and Ron Hicklin and my brother John Bähler – we sang together almost daily – David Cassidy is one helluva singer blessed with great talent and commensurate work ethic – Mike Melvoin – arranged the tracks, performed by The Wrecking Crew – my brother John did the majority of our vocal charts and I did the rest – it was a great experience – love to all

Message to Fans

A big thank you to all who came out to my shows this weekend.

I had the most fantastic weekend. The three sold out shows were an amazing experience.  I love playing live and I wanted to let you know that I’ve got the fire back in my belly.

David Cassidy makes local teacher’s dream come true

Kelly Hennessa a local teacher at Centreville High School and her son were in a terrible car accident last year in Virginia.

She was in a coma for two months, her son was in a coma for about a week.
To help Kelly recover while she was in the coma, Kelly’s husband Greg would play his wife’s favorite David Cassidy songs for her, especially “I Think I Love You.” He says he could see a small grin when he did.
It worked, she came out the coma.
Friends and family spread the word and David Cassidy’s managers got word and made her dream come true.
Sunday night, Kelly met David Cassidy before his show in Alexandria, Va.
This is the second time Kelly saw David Cassidy play live at the Birchmere.

There’s a gofundme page that has been set up.

January 29, 2016 – Concert review & photos

It’s been almost four months since the world has had the pleasure of seeing David Cassidy live in concert and on January 29th we all waited with bated breath for the return of our favourite superstar at the Rams Head on Stage in Annapolis.
“How do you do, God bless you for all for being here, this is so fantastic!” he said as he strode on stage to the well-known beat of ‘C’mon Get Happy’.

Washington Post Article

Q&A with David Cassidy: Yep, he’s still a global icon. And, yep, he’s still on tour.

..We spoke recently with a rejuvenated and four-months-sober Cassidy from his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., about the old days and the influence of his family, particularly his father, the late actor Jack Cassidy, as well as encounters with John Lennon, David Bowie and Donald Trump.

What can people expect when they come to see a David Cassidy show in 2016?

Very high energy, obviously a lot of my hits. I take people kind of on a musical journey of my life, including a Cole Porter song that my father taught me when I was 3 1/2 years old.
