Lifetime Achievement Award!

David will receive the FREC Lifetime Achievement Award at The Star Gala to be held 6:30pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Magic City Casino. Details here.

This year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is David Cassidy. His extraordinary success began on television with “The Partridge Family” which brought him instant super-stardom and spawned David’s 40 year career as a recording, Broadway, Las Vegas and worldwide personality who set the bar high for those who have followed. He has received numerous awards in the music industry and an Emmy nomination for “Police Story.” Of late however, despite his ongoing concert tours, his foremost goal is to be the face of Alzheimer’s awareness in an effort to educate, fundraise and help people to find the latest information and solutions on treatments, research, prevention and, very importantly, care taking. He is travelling across the country speaking to various groups and organizations. He has also been an advocate for actors’ and musicians’ rights and was an active supporter of Kids Charities, a non-profit that his wife, Sue Shifrin-Cassidy, created a decade ago.

From the Vice President of the NJ Hall Of Fame:
David– great performance at the NJ Hall Of Fame Ceremony last night. You rocked the house! I enjoyed working with you and was thrilled to see what a gentleman, class act and kind person you are! The way you respect and give attention to your fans should be a template for other stars. Safe travels and my wife Diana and I will try to catch your BB King show in NYC in July. Take care! June 5, 2012 – News

I really appreciate all the support and positive feedback I have received for the work I have been doing with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. It means a lot to me. I will have a busy summer with my work with them and with other organisations.

I also have a number of concerts during the summer. I will be doing a couple of tributes to Davy in Las Vegas and Utah. A portion of the shows will be some of the Monkees music. I’ll talk about my friendship and relationship I had with Davy and the impact he had on the world. I’ll be paying homage to a really great artist.
God Bless
