It’s a David weekend for me and the two songs that have been on the site recently were great, thanks.
I’ve starved myself from David for nearly two months now waiting for his anniversary so the weekend has arrived! Tonight is the night though playing my way up to my favourites ‘Breaking down again ‘, ‘Since l fell’ Dammed if..’ and the marvellous ‘Fool in Love’.
Wife, myself , malt whisky and David all night, brilliant.
Just one more thing l’ve recently been requesting some of Davids songs in our local pub and the DJ has played quite a few there are some people asking who is this its really good and others saying they always liked David Cassidy! But the one track that has gone down really well is ‘Daydreamer’ live filled by ‘Breaking up is hard to do’, Fabulous, God bless and rest in peace, thank you David.

River In Time..now and forever. Great choice, thank you Jane. What to say. 4 years ..it’s a lot of time. DC was Keith for 4 years and it must have felt like an eternity for him. And now that horrible day 4 years ago,,it was like yesterday. Time goes too fast..As Time Goes By..One of my favourite, all his songs are my favourites. But if I had to choose one for this weekend, it would be ‘I Write The Songs’. I’ve read that Bruce Johnston was surprised that David’d wanted to record it. But his insticts didn’t fail him..He wrote the songs that made those young girls cry. And now, not young anymore, we cry too….Rest in peace dearest David.

I can’t believe we lost you on that fateful day. I remember the days you were in the hospital as your body was slowly dying. My heart was aching as you were leaving us. Our prayers for you to recover didn’t help but you are free from any more pain. Oh how I cried when you left us. All I know is — if I see a picture of him or hear him sing (that voice!) I am instantly transported to a sweeter, higher place. He has the most amazing, indescribable aura. I am so happy to see such beautiful comments uplifting the musical, and theatrical legacy of David Cassidy. He was taken way too soon. Truly,David was one of the greatest,yet most underrated,musicians and vocalists of any era. I am thrilled to see David finally honored with a Star on the Las Vegas Walk of Fame. May his Star burn brightly in the hearts of his fans reflecting his talent and the love of his fans that made his Star possible. When I’m feeling sad, like today, I play “There’s No Bridge I Wouldn’t Cross” on Youtube. It’s my favorite video of him. In that video David looks healthy and happy. And that’s the way I want to remember him. God Bless David Cassidy.
