David’s Star – on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars

From Johnny Ray Miller:

David Cassidy will be receiving a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars for his outstanding work on the stage, and with great shock and excitement I have been invited to be a keynote speaker. I can’t tell you how humbled and proud I am to be part of this extraordinary event.

David broke records in the late 90’s for his lead role in the spectacular musical,” EFX.”  It was a box office smash for several years in a row at the MGM Grand. David won several awards during his run in Vegas including Entertainer of The Year. “EFX” led to other successful Vegas productions including “At The Copa,” which he co-starred in next to Sheena Easton. He also wrote the musical “The Rat Pack is Back,” and made occasional appearances in it.

David’s star will be placed outside of the Paris Hotel among the likes of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Donny & Marie Osmond. I am thrilled to see David Cassidy getting the musical credibility he always deserved.  The ceremony was originally planned for April 8 and 9 and quickly postponed due to the pandemic. When the time comes that our world begins to open up again, we can all look forward to this exciting celebration.

I Think I Love You Animal Foundation

Breeder and vet Dr. Jerry Bilinski and trainer Gary Contessa, along with their wives Darlene Bilinski and Jennifer Contessa, have founded the I Think I Love You Animal Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit formed to serve the welfare of animals in memory of David Cassidy. The David Cassidy Memorial Legacy Group provided some minor assistance with this project.

The goals is to help animals in need everywhere through the support of Cassidy’s friends and fans. Cassidy was a lifelong animal lover and often donated to animal welfare groups, including those that care for retired Thoroughbreds. A website is in the works, but, in the meantime, those looking to make donations can send a check or money order payable to the I Think I Love You Foundation Inc. to P.O. Box 982, Latham, N.Y.
