This Friday, November 21, marks the 8th anniversary of the passing of one of West Orange’s favorite sons, David Cassidy.
The David Cassidy West Orange Historical Marker Facebook Group has arranged to have Reverend Hernandez include David Cassidy in his ‘prayers of the people’ during the 9:30 am Sunday Mass on 11/23. A memorial candle will all also be displayed. All are welcome!
They also invite fans to visit special lawn signs displayed at his childhood home at 23 Elm Street, from Thursday through Sunday.
While in Downtown, you can visit the Historical Marker that was installed at Colgate Field (on Franklin Avenue) and the Elm Street corners that were co-named in his honor (on Franklin Ave and Harrison Ave) this past summer.
Celebrate the memory of David Cassidy, and discover all that Downtown West Orange has to offer: explore the Thomas Edison National Historical Park; get some early holiday shopping down at our retail stores; and grab a coffee, quick lunch, or sit-down dinner at one of our wonderful restaurants!
