On Friday March 26, 1971 David performed his first concert at the Seattle Center Arena, Seattle, WA at 8:30 p.m.
During his career David Cassidy played more than 600 concerts all over the world; in the USA, England, Scotland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Japan and Hong Kong. David’s first concert was in Seattle on March 26th, 1971. His last concert was in New York, on March, 4th 2017.
David also entertained us with many other live performances. He gave mini concerts, solo or with his band on many TV programmes and in theatre productions.
David Cassidy was a brilliant live performer. From that very first concert which he played 50 years ago for thousands of screaming fans he always gave 100%. Many fans believe that a lot of songs he performed live were better than studio recordings. David wanted to be connected with his audience, give and take, to share experience, excitement, joy and love. It wasn’t only for money, there was much more, something that even people who never saw him in concert can experience too, when they watch the videos.
David rarely cancelled his concerts; sometimes performing with flu, with a surgical belt after gall-bladder operation, and played the guitar when he shouldn’t because of arthritis. His concerts were full of energy, uplifting, unforgettable experiences for those lucky ones who saw him live, in every decade.
The last song he ever performed live was “I Think I Love You”. As he left the stage he said ‘I don’t think, I know’. We always knew that, dear David.
