Letters From David
August 2001
To My Loyal UK Fans
I want to thank you for your patience and support over the last couple of months while tickets for the purported bookings of arena-type concerts that I was alleged to be performing in the UK were being sold. Thanks to those of you who spent your hard earned pounds to see me. Finally, after spending a great deal of time and money, I am pleased to tell you that your justice system works! The High Court in London has ordered the promoters to take all necessary steps to cancel the concerts, which means that you should now be able to have your ticket money refunded.
Further, I am doubly pleased to tell you that I will be performing in some limited engagements in more intimate settings where you can actually see and hear me and I can feel closer to you. We will be announcing those dates shortly.
I will be in your wonderful country the last week of September visiting many of your best known television and radio shows and I'm sure you'll see me pop up in local publications. In the meantime, you can see me on television in the beginning of September on the 8th, where I perform a duet with Hearsay. We had a blast and look forward to working together again soon.
We announced, right here on my website, that I have signed with Universal Music in the UK and wanted to let you know that my first CD on that label is due on October 2, called "Then and Now".
Lots of love and can't wait to see you in the Fall.
David
