David Cass/dy Calls Charleston Fan
Editor's Note: When David Cassidy called the Dally Mail, we thought it appropriate that a real fan of his be permitted to ask him a few questions. Hence, this story by Kim Gullfoile, 11, a seventh grade student at John Adams Junior High School.

David Cassidy does not have a steady girl friend even though he wishes be did. I know because he called me Monday at the Charleston Daily Mail newsroom.
We talked for about 10 minutes and I asked him various questions about himself and his career. David said he has never been to West Virginia but he's been to Virginia (people always confuse the two). I told him we have a really great state here and that I think he will really enjoy it.
He started his acting career at the age of 10 in a soap opera, but began acting on TV at 18 in such shows as Marcus Welby, M. D., Bonanza and Ironside. Appearing on Marcus Welby was his favorite experience.
I was curious about how he feels about ,magazines such as 16 Spec writing all the stuff about him. He said he tries not to think about the stories they write, as he really can't do anything about the untrue and exaggerated things they say about him. When I asked if he is bothered by fans screaming, pointing and staring at him, he said be doesn't mind when he gives a concert but it, bothers him a lot in his private life.
David's mother's name is Evelyn Ward and she lives in New York and Los Angeles. David also makes his home in Los Angeles. He doesn't have any Brothers but has half brothers through his father's > marriage to Shirley Jones.
I have noticed that the show "Bewitched" and the "Partridge Family" are both filmed at the 'same location and I asked' if be knew Elizabeth Montgomery. He said he has spoken to her but has never met her personally.
We talked about pets and he told me be has a dog named Sheesh, He-also had a pet dog named Sam Who died two weeks ago and he feels badly about losing his pet
David is a-21 years old and would like to get married but it would probably be in the future.
I think he'll have to wait a while since he doesn't even have a steady girl friend yet. In the meantime, he says he enjoys acting and his career and this takes up most of his time.
I told him I was coming to see his show on October 10 in Charleston and he said good, "I'll see you there." I wish he would.
My interview with David Cassidy was very exciting and I think he is a very nice and warm person.
