Stars Shine On Cruise

Ella Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Gaffney, all of Palm Springs were among the tourists who took a recent cruise to Mexico aboard Sitmar Cruises' T.S.S. Fairsea and became acquainted with fellow tourists Shirley Jones and David Cassidy stars of the TV production “The Partridge Family.”
The entire cast and crew of the popular family TV show were among the South-of-the-border cruisers.
During the ten-day roundtrip cruise from Los Angeles Mrs. and Mrs. Gaffney celebrated their 32nd anniversary.
The trip included slops at Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco and Mazatlan.
A 25,000-ton, 860-passenger cruise ship, the Fairsea is of Liberian Registry and offers the latest in luxury cruising. Some of the ship’s features include three swimming pools, eight public rooms, two nightclubs, gymnasium, sauna and 330-seat wide-screen cinema theatre.
Sitmar Cruises is a Monte Carlo-based company providing cruise service to Mexico and Canada-Alaska from the west coast. Seven-day Caribbean cruises aboard the twin sister ship, T.S.S. Fairwind, are offered year-round from Port Everglades, Fla.
