David Cassidy has spent the last month promoting his new RCA LP, "The Higher They Climb," traveling from city to city spreading the word that the album provides the first musical glimpse of the "real" David Cassidy. As opposed to the David Cassidy whose fame and musical style were "manufactured" by the creators of his old "Partridge Family" series.
Manufactured or not, David still found himself bombarded with questions about what life was like as a "Partridge" - and what life is like now for Shirley Jones, who played his mother on the series, and who has since divorced his father, Jack Cassidy.
