I'm curious, did "The Partridge Family" really sing those songs, or were other people singing? - LISA DAYTON, RUTLAND, VT.
Actress Shirley Jones and her step-son David Cassidy starred in this ABC sitcom, 1970-74. Jones and Cassidy did their own vocals. However, the additional voices and musicians were provided by the studio. These "unknowns" included brothers John and Tom Bahler, Jackie Ward, and Ron Hicklin. The series, which was loosely based on the popular real-life recording family "The Cowsills," is presently enjoying a resurgence on "Nick At Nite."
