LAS VEGAS Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- David Cassidy announced today that previews for his latest Las Vegas extravaganza, "David Cassidy at the Copa," will begin Jan. 18, 2000 at the Rio All-Suite Casino Resort, a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.
Co-starring in the high-energy production show is international recording and theatrical star Sheena Easton.
Cassidy will not only star in the show, but will serve as creative force behind the scenes. From the music, to the theatrics to staging, Cassidy will pull from his many successes on Broadway, television and in the music industry for a sexy, high-energy, rhythmic theatrical production unlike anything Las Vegas has seen before. The show will also feature the largest orchestra in Las Vegas with music spanning the last 50 years of the twentieth century and original songs by Cassidy.
Cassidy has had tremendous success in Las Vegas, where he put EFX at the top of box office successes, and most recently with "The Rat Pack is Back," which he wrote and produced with impresario Don Reo.
Cassidy's extraordinary life and career will be portrayed in an NBC-TV movie, "The David Cassidy Story," which airs January 9, 2000, 9-11 PM.
