David Cassidy Enlists Stars For Benefit Track

Former Partridge Family singer David Cassidy has enlisted Fugees rapper Wyclef Jean, shock rocker Alice Cooper, soul singer Sam Moore and others to record "Message to the World," a benefit track for refugees from Kosovo. Organizers have posted the lyrics (and will soon have a demo MP3 of the song) at www.eat-m.com, and are asking the general public to participate in the recording. People can record parts at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest bus (www.jlsc.com), which is travelling through the U.S. to Las Vegas, where the song will be mixed May 20. Proceeds from the track will benefit the War Child charity.
