(Las Vegas, May 15, 2000) ---- The David Cassidy Celebrity Golf Tournament, which follows the Emerging Artists & Talent in Music Conference for the third consecutive year, takes place on June 11 at the Rio Secco Golf Course. Among the celebrities confirmed are Joe Pesci, Martin Sheen, Michael Chiklas, Keith Carradine, Jeff Fahey, Tom Poston, Wendie Jo Sperber, Alan Thicke, Sam Moore, Patrick Cassidy, "Downtown" Julie Brown, Ron Perlman, and sports greats Lenny Dykstra, John Berry, Brent Berry, Rollie Fingers and Cliff Stoudt. There are still a few slots left and if you register now, for three paid players, the fourth member of the foresome is free. There's a $100,000 hole in one, 3 year leases on Lincoln Town Cars; and National Airlines round trip tickets for the putting contest.
The tournament will be followed by the "Totally Groovy '70s Polyester Ball" at the Rio All-Suite Casino Resort, for which tickets can be purchased by the public. Both events benefit City of Hope, Special Olympics Nevada, Interfaith Hospitality Network which provides basic needs locally to the homeless, and Planet Hope through their affiliation with KidsCharities.org. The party will feature a live auction that will launch an online auction, on Yahoo!'s charity auction site, that will continue through June 22. Some of the prizes include a one week trip to Jamaica contributed by Robin Leach, a 1963 Rolls Royce with 20,000 original miles, to benefit City of Hope, a player's slot in the Alice Cooper Celebrity Golf Tournament, many trips, jewelry, art, and much more.
