David Cassidy - Cassidy Makes A Comeback
April 22, 2004
Seventies pop hunk DAVID CASSIDY is making a comeback - his hugely popular show THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY is returning to TV screens.
The 53-year-old singer was an object of devotion for teenage girls the world over during the series' heyday in the early 1970s. And now - 30 years after the programme ended - Cassidy is becoming an executive producer on the relaunch, and will also star.
He enthuses, "The Partridge Family is coming back.
"And yes, I'll be in it. We just made the deal two days ago. For years and years I've resisted. People tried to get me to come back for a reunion show and I've never done that.
"I thought it would be great to be able to put a spin on it for a whole new generation of people who haven't seen it and haven't been a part of it."
