Steve Lamacq, the Radio 1 DJ, this week recalls his favourite story about his colleague, the late John Peel. Peel was presenting Top of the Pops "and his co-host Janice Long introduced David Cassidy by saying, 'Oooh, David Cassidy, I used to have him on my bedroom wall'. There was a brief pause, then John added, 'That was very athletic of you, Janice'."
