London's Hard Rock Cafe will play host to a ten day exhibition of David Cassidy memorabilia as part of a world tour of some his most famous belongings.
The 1970s teen idol, who shot to fame on US TV show The Partridge Family, became one of the most popular singers in history with a fan base larger than that of Elvis Presley or the Beatles.
On November 14th, the central London restaurant will display numerous items from the star's career as part of a tour which will culminate in an auction at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the US.
The sale includes one of Cassidy's customised Gibson SG electric guitars, expected to sell for around £5,000. The instrument was played by the singer at various concert performances and appearances during the 1970s.
Cassidy plans to appear in person at the event in the capital to present the items which he says he hopes will be "treasured" by others.
During his trip to London he will also be promoting his new compilation CD, Could It Be Forever.the Greatest Hits and his autobiography, also titled Could It Be Forever. He will also be announcing his tour of the UK, set to kick off in April 2007.
