Sony Pictures Television will be editing several of its old television shows for viewing on the Internet.
Shows like Who's the Boss?, Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, Diff'rent Strokes and The Partridge Family will be summarised in three to five-minute versions.
"We looked at our library and asked how we could fit this content into where the world is going in terms of watching entertainment on the Web," said Steve Mosko, Sony Pictures Television president. "We thought this was the way to apply that logic of YouTube viewing to scripted drama that is fun and interesting."
The shows will initially be aired on Sony's Minisode Network, a new website due to launch this summer through MySpace.com.
