'Isolated' ... Cassidy
SEVENTIES pop heart-throb DAVID CASSIDY has admitted he was a "lonely" sex symbol who met hardly any women.
The US singer, 57 - who also starred in TV's The Partridge Family - has revealed he was unable to socialise and live a normal life.
He said that having hordes of girls screaming his name was "fun".
But Cassidy told chat queen OPRAH WINFREY: "I had no life.
"I was physically and professionally 25, but emotionally I was 19. I hadn't, other than the girl who became my wife, had a date.
"It was very difficult to meet women - not young girls, because a lot of them were young girls.
"I wanted to have that relationship. I felt very isolated and lonely."
