Former pop heart-throb DAVID CASSIDY was "lonely" at the height of his stardom - because he hardly ever met any women.
The 57-year-old singer, who also starred in The Partridge Family TV show, admits that although it was "fun" to have legions of teenage fans, his fame didn't allow him to socialise like most other young men.
He explains, "I had no life. I was physically and professionally 25, but emotionally I was 19. I hadn't, other than the girl who became my wife, had a date. "It was very difficult to meet women - not young girls, because a lot of them were young girls. "I wanted to have that relationship. I felt very isolated and lonely." Cassidy went on to wed three times, he is currently in a relationship songwriter Sue Shifrin-Cassidy who he married in 1991.
