The Partridge Family -C'mon, Get Happy: 3rd Season DVDs are Coming At Last!

After a three-year gap between season sets, this will finally arrive in October

It's been over a year since we had any sort of news about The Partridge Family on DVD, and even that was merely to say that rumors of a 3rd Season release in mid-2007 was not true. We commented at the time how we hated giving such bad news. Would it be okay if we gave you some GOOD news this time?
In an early alert to retailers, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed that they are planning to release The Partridge Family - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD this October 14th. That means that that fans will finally get this 3-disc collection of the third season episodes a "mere" 3 years after Sony released the second season set. It will contain all 25 episodes, plus a pair of bonus Sony "mini-sodes" as extras.
This next-to-last season includes guest appearances from Charlotte Rae (The Facts of Life), Ray Bolger (The Wizard of Oz), Bert Convy (Cannonball Run), Slim Pickens (Dr. Strangelove, Blazing Saddles), Nancy Walker (Rhoda), Arte Johnson (Laugh-In), Dana Elcar (MacGyver), Mary Ann Mobley (Diff'rent Strokes), baseball great Johnny Bench, Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs), Alan Oppenheimer (The Six Million Dollar Man), Vic Tayback (Alice) and John Astin (The Addams Family).
Video will be full-frame, with English mono audio. Running time given is 643 minutes. Cost is going to be $29.95 SRP. Stay tuned for package art, and any further info we find out, just as soon as we get more about this long-awaited, highly anticipated release!
