Leading trainer Gary Contessa, who entered Saturday's card with a whopping 68 wins at the meet, runs David Cassidy's homebred, Sweet Vendetta, here. A filly by Stephen Got Even-Sand Pirate, by Desert Wine, Sweet Vendetta is a half sister to the New York-bred stakes winning Half Heaven.
She's also improving some three months into the season.
Ninth and sixth in her first two races, Sweet Vendetta has come to hand in a hurry lately, winning her maiden impressively February 14th and finishing second to the aforementioned Little Belle in the February 24th (race 8 at Aquaduct)
