Another stakes winner for Sand Pirate

The Desert Wine mare Sand Pirate, owned by David Cassidy, is turning into quite a producer.
Her New York-bred daughter Sweet Vendetta, a 3-year-old by Stephen Got Even, won the open Andover Way Stakes at Aqueduct on March 19.
The third stakes winner produced by Sand Pirate, she was coming off a second-place finish in the open Busher Stakes at the Big A Feb. 24.
Bred and owned by Cassidy and Team Penney Racing, Sweet Vendetta sent her earnings to $86,596 with a record of 2-1-0 in 6 starts.
Sand Pirate is also the dam of multiple stakes winner Half Heaven and of Doll Baby, winner of the Niagara Stakes.
