Ruby and the Rockits, debuts at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on ABC Family: Fans of Partridge Family star David Cassidy will be thrilled to see him returning to TV as an egomaniacal, fading rock star confronted with a teenage daughter he never knew. But they will cry to see the vapid lines stuck in his mouth for this show, in which Cassidy's David Gallagher tries unloading his new daughter on his settled, successful brother. Of course, Gallagher's daughter, Ruby, displays his musical talent and an amazing personality - and hilarity ensues. If only.
