Alexa Vega, best known for her work in "Spy Kids," makes her case to be the next big TV teen star with "Ruby and the Rockits" (7:30 p.m., ABC Family), a sitcom about a girl dealing with her newfound dad's desire to keep on rockin'. It certainly helps that Pop is played by former teen idol David Cassidy and that his brother is played by real-life half-sibling Patrick Cassidy. We can only hope and pray for a sweeps special featuring executive producer Shaun Cassidy and a family rendition of "Da Doo Ron Ron."
