Community colleges don't typically bring in the hottest musical acts.
But the Queensborough Community College has scored no less than 1970s heartthrob David Cassidy. It's been about 40 years since he was the tough ticket to get, but the school -- part of the City University of New York system -- has been deluged by fans around the world hungry to hear the aging pop idol.
The school boasts a stage that will seat a mere 850 and fans of the Partridge Family star have been calling frantically from around the world, hoping for a prime ticket, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports.
It's probably too late for you, but just in case, the concert is scheduled for Nov. 21.
