Richard Hatch becomes a lion tamer with a whip. David Cassidy is walking a tightrope and Jose Canseco is the safety net in the "Circus Celebrity Apprentice"
The premier of "Celebrity Apprentice" on Sunday, March 06, unleashed a full two hours of drama in true Reality TV style. You do not know a celebrity unless you live with them or watch them on a reality show where the challenges bring out the best or worst in them. As Donald Trump said, "The circus is back in town and you're looking at the ring master."
The men and women come up with names for their teams
The teams divide in two, men and women. The men come up with unique names for their team including; The Winners, Magnitude, Integress, Bologna and Dirt, Sperm Farmers before settling on Backbone. The woman came up with Powerhouse but settle for A.S.A.P.
Who will take the plunge and be the first project manager?
It is not for the faint of heart to be the first project manager. The person has to believe in himself and his abilities to lead a group of people that he has relatively no idea of what their strength and weaknesses are. When a group selects a person it is who they think is there strongest player. They will want to win but if a person volunteers, it is more of a risk to the player and the group. Richard Hatch is willing to be project manager and the group backs him believing that his win on the reality show "Survivor" shows that he is a real player. A.S.A.P. elects their strongest person, Star Jones.
A.S.A.P. annihilates Backbone
The women's team bring in a total of $170,000 for the American Heart Association and a additional $35,000 for the American Red Cross. The men's team bring in a hard earned $54,104 and must return to the boardroom to face the wrath of Donald Trump.
Gary Busey thinks way outside the box
Is Gary Busey making a lot of sense? As the "Pepperoni Profit", I found that I thought he had missed his calling and should wear a sandwich board stating that the end of the world is coming. His ranting and raving is entertaining. Nevertheless, it does not show his ability to become the next apprentice for Donald Trump. I do not know if he means to be the clown in Donald Trump's circus but he is coming off as one.
Richard Hatch rubs his team the wrong way and makes enemies
He is a very aggressive project manager. He is like the lion tamer who lashes out at the team with his orders and nudges. He made the mistake of pushing David Cassidy twice when the actor tried to make suggestions. When it all came out in the boardroom Richard Hatch could not make any recollection of the incidents and said it was in no way intentional and apologized. However, the minute he opened his mouth he made matters worse by saying that David Cassidy was sensitive, delicate in an emotional way and was a little person. His whole team was unanimous in declaring that he should go.
Jose Canseco tries to stand up for the underdog
Jose Canseco is the security net under David Cassidy who is walking the tightrope.Was it just me or is everyone waiting for Jose Canseco to come unglued on Richard Hatch? Jose Canseco played a big brother role to David Cassidy but in the end only showed Cassidy's weaknesses in a man's world of business as Cassidy continued to look over at Jose Canseco to back him in the boardroom.
Donald Trump voted off David Cassidy for the reason that he does not have the level of passion and fierce determination that Jose Canseco and Richard Hatch does. I wonder if Donald Trump was also thinking about the ratings when he left Jose Canseco and Richard Hatch to face off and you know they will. Donald Trump is indeed the ring leader in this circus allowing and at times instigating the drama for all you folks to come back and watch.
