Teen idol, '70s rock band scheduled for autumn
David Cassidy.
The Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts has announced two big shows for the autumn. David Cassidy will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 27, and the Marshall Tucker Band will play at 8 p.m. Nov. 5.
Cassidy entered the hearts of Americans as Keith Partridge, a member of the singing television family band The Partridge Family. Becoming a mega teen idol, Cassidy had a No. 1 hit with the Partridge Family with "I Think I Love You."
The Marshall Tucker Band has been playing since the early 1970s. Its biggest hit, "Heard It In a Love Song," reached No. 12 in 1977.
Tickets for Cassidy's show are $55 and are on sale now at the Lycian Centre. Tickets for the Marshall Tucker Band go on sale at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Ticket price is not yet available. Call 469-2287 or visit www.lyciancentre.com.
