Atlantic City, NJ

The Tropicana Showroom on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk took a trip back to the 70's as pop icon David Cassidy was introduced to stage over the cheerful sound of the Partridge Family theme song, C'Mon Get Happy.
The sold out Broadway-style theater erupted with screams of delight and David took the first of many moments to receive their love.
At 62, David looks energetic and strong. He is still able to induce fainting spells (one female had to be taken out on a stretcher, but made it back to her seat a few songs later) proving that his considerable swag is following him into his golden years.
The audience was swept back to the innocence of their youth with Partridge Family hits Summer Days, I'll Meet You Halfway, Point Me In The Direction Of Albuquerque and I Woke Up In Love This Morning.
Between songs he shared stories. One story reminisced of David's first big break, a Broadway play, paying $200/week vs. $2/hour mailroom job he just left. He recalled being picked up for that gig in a huge "70's car". Memorializing the sounds blasting from its speakers… David covered the song he remembered playing, Deep Purple's Hush.
Other covers included a tribute to his friend Davy Jones. David and Davy were touring in 2011 as co-headliners before his passing in early 2012. David dedicated two songs, Day Dream Believer and I'm A Believer to his friend and fellow pop star, leading to a deafening and lengthy ovation.
Another dedication followed, this time to his audience to whom he expressed gratitude, devotion and his love. Cherish, David's first solo hit compelled hundreds of ladies out of their seats down stage front hoping to touch his hand or just get a better glimpse.
David took delight in their adoration and gave back as much as he could telling security (who tried to reclaim some order) … "it's all right.. they're all right" as he continued to connect with as many as possible.
David ended his set with the iconic I Think I Love You.
We think we love you, too.
