Plymouth, MN (June 21, 2013) — Today, Results! Travel officially announced details of its upcoming 2013 National Meeting, which will convene in Bloomington, MN, September 12-14. The "Over the Top"-themed conference will feature stage and screen star David Cassidy as the keynote speaker and entertainer for the closing reception. Registered attendance is already at its highest level ever for a Results! Travel National Meeting, which is taking place on the heels of Results! Travel's first-ever series of Owners and Regional Meetings.
"The theme for our national meeting is 'Over the Top' and from the record number of registered participants and variety of workshops to the major deliverables and well-known entertainer, we will be delivering on that," stated Results! Travel Vice President and General Manager John Risner. "We are excited to have someone as recognizable and celebrated as David Cassidy speaking and performing at our meeting. There will be a number of "firsts" at this year's Results! Travel National Meeting:
This is the first time the Results! Travel National Meeting will be held in the Twin Cities – which is where the franchise organization is headquartered. Members will be staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington – Minneapolis South, in Bloomington, MN. The closing reception, will take place at the world famous Mall of America.
Members will have their first-ever opportunity to attend a Services and Technology Showcase on September 12, prior to the opening reception. This event – separate from the Supplier Trade Show – will feature the latest services and products in the marketplace from top technology suppliers for both business and leisure travel, as well as various office services vendors such as phone services, equipment and systems.
A major, well-known entertainer in the world of music, television and theater will be both the keynote speaker and closing reception entertainment for the first time. Just as travel agents have had to adapt and reinvent themselves, David Cassidy – who rose to fame in the television show "The Partridge Family" – has reinvented himself over four decades and adapted from television to concert tours and from Broadway to London's West End, and even an immensely successful run in a Las Vegas production.
The 2013 Results! Travel National Meeting will also feature a session of Results! University, a full supplier trade show, exclusive training and workshops on topics such as luxury travel and independent contractors (ICs), plus a closing reception hosted by the Mall of America.
