David Cassidy entertaining the crowd

At some time in their tweens and teens every girl falls in love...with a pop or rock star. It is a love that will last a lifetime.

On June 21 over 400 fans gathered to pack the house and relive those years when bubblegum pop star David Cassidy - also known as Keith Partridge - to reminisce and relive those years in the intimate setting of the Bear's Den in the Seneca Niagara Casino and Resort.

Cassidy himself noted the intimate setting and said that it was the first time he could see past the second row. The setting also made it possible for him to hear conversations and comments from fans close to the stage - something he had to admonish them on. The Bear's Den features theatre styled seating in a horseshoe configuration ensuring everyone in the house has a good seat.

For the mostly female crowd the night became a sing along as Cassidy relived the days of "The Partridge Family" and his solo career. He also performed songs by Van Morrison - whom he called the Irish Prince - and by his friends The Monkees.

Speaking on fallen Monkee Davy Jones, Cassidy called him a friend and dedicated "Daydream Believer" to the singer.

Cassidy told the crowd that he was going to share his life with them, and share it he did right down to the events of the past week where through various accidents he has cut his eye, gotten a black eye, sliced a finger, and fractured two fingers on his left hand - the hand he uses to fret his guitar. When a fan asked if Cassidy needed to have someone kiss and make it better; Cassidy responded with a question of his own, asking whom they had in mind.

Unlike some stars who hate to relive the music from "the old days", Cassidy embraced his time as a member of "The Partridge Family" relaying fond memories of the songs he sang; finishing the night with a song he says he will always sing - "I Think I Love You".

The night's entertainment ended with a standing ovation from a very enthusiastic crowd who longed for more from the man they had grown to love in days gone by.
