5. The Partridge Family (ABC)
Like The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family was a sitcom centered on an unconventional family — in this one, they’re a group of traveling musicians. Running on ABC from 1970 to 1974, the show stars seasoned musical actress Shirley Jones and pop singer David Cassidy. The show’s four seasons were packed with memorable pop songs that were written for the fictional Partridge Family band, complemented by earnest storylines that were filled with heart. While it was never nominated for an Emmy, it did receive some attention from the Golden Globes, receiving a nom for Best TV Show - Comedy or Musical in 1971 and 1972.
