I am at work, totally exhausted, my hands are broken open from clapping so much, my hips are killing me from standing/sitting for so many hours in line, and my mailbox is almost full because I forgot to go on no mail, but I wouldn't change a thing about this past weekend. I am in heaven!! Friday I met up the girls around 4:30 (once I figured out that I was waiting for them at the wrong showroom--leave it to me to be that dumb) and we sat and visited in line until the doors opened at 8:00pm. When they first started seating us, they misread my ticket as a $25.00 ticket rather than a $125.00 ticket and tried to seat me in the back of the showroom!! ARGHHHHH -- PANIC!!! There were 2 others girls (from England) that they tried the same thing with so the three of us went to complain and than they finally seated us at the set of tables that I think would be considered the third set of tables back. We were half way between the center of the stage and the right side of the stage. The show started about 20 minutes late because they weren't very organized about seating people and the line was still very long to get in at 8:50. Anyway, the show finally started and there appeared David. Oh my god, he was so wonderful and so beautiful, I had tears running down my face through most of the show (thank god I gave make-up years ago or I'd have looked liked some monster out of a horror flick). He performed the same songs he has at the other concerts -- someone correct me here if I'm wrong. Towards the end of the show several individuals went up to the stage, so I of course joined in. Security tried to keep us away from the stage, but it didn't work very well. I left the show feeling so happy it was amazing. Several of us decided to get a bite to eat since the majority of us had not eaten all day and were starving by this point.
Saturday I got the Showboat at about 12:15 and began the waiting in line all over again. Within 45 minutes many others showed up and again we spent the day laughing, talking, and having the best time ever. Besides the gals from the list, I also meet several other wonderful people. One gal--Lisa will probably be joining the list soon. The show was to start at 8:00 and this time they decided to open the doors at 6:30 to allow an extra 1/2 hour of seating time. The waiting in line for all those hours paid off. I got a seat at the tables right in front of the stage--OH My god I was in 7th heaven. I was there for both of the shows and again by the end of the second show I had the tears streaming down my face again. After the show several of us talked and visited for awhile, and than we said our goodbyes to each other. That was so sad. I never wanted to say goodbye I just wanted the night and the weekend to go on and on, but that of course is not possible.
To everyone I met I just wanted to say thank-you for a wonderful unforgettable weekend. It was one of the best times I have ever had!! I can't wait to do it again!!
Well that's my story, and I have to go now cause I've been here at work since 6:00 and have gotten absolutely nothing done yet, but I just had to share my story of the weekend.
Love you all,
Dawn
