Family Night At The Greek
Greek Theatre, Los Angeles, CA.

Knowing that I wasn't going to meet David, but might be able to see the rest of the family, I was even more excited about sitting in the audience for David's Greek show.
It was great to see & put faces to so many email addresses from the lists. I sat next to Lynn G (from Shaun's list) for the first part of the show (a comic), & met Sue K & PJ, Joyce, Scott & Jennifer (from Get Happy & Shaun's list) & saw old friends I'd lost touch with over the years. The comic played up to two twin 7-year olds in the front row. It was cute.
The star-studded audience included Drew Carey, (who sat 2 rows behind me), Henry Diltz, Evelyn Ward, Beau, & Katie, & Shaun, Susan, & Caitlin Cassidy (about 4 rows in front of me), Jessica Cassidy & her date (sitting to my left), and Ryan Cassidy & his date, sitting behind Jessica. I got a photo taken with Ryan, & took photos of Jessica, Caitlin & Susan as a group & a new photo of Susan & Shaun. Both Shaun & Ryan complemented me on my looks.
David's concert set didn't change too much from Laughlin, although he added Ricky's Tune & a finale of Bob Seeger's "Hollywood Nights" after Cry. He omitted I Am A Clown. He opened in his blue satin shirt & changed into a sparkly black shirt after Candice's solo.
David spent a lot of time introducing the "celebs" in the audience, including "Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson & Madonna!" Then he listed Francis Bavier (Aunt Bee from Andy Griffith), then when he realized she was dead, he said "well, that's what the list said!" He also picked out the same twin girls & was in shock that everyone already knew about them! A few ladies yellled out- sing Happy birthday but all he heard was Happy birthday & he made a joke, "Shaun is that you?" Then the same request came from the other side of the theater & he said-"Shaun, I thought you were over there!"
The Greek is very strict about their seating policy, so no one from sect A could get close to the stage to shake hands at the end of the show- they barely let you move into the aisles. It was a great show though. It was a great way to spend a belated Happy Birthday to me!
