David Cassidy LIVE in Las Vegas
The Samba Room
Rio All Suites Hotel and Resort

David came out at a little after 9:00 pm. He had the tight black shiny jeans on with a gold shiny shirt, not tucked in. (Shucks!) I didn't particularly like this color of shirt, but loved the jeans. I am partial to black. Sue and Beau were there, about 3 rows back. Sue is even prettier in person. I had front row seat, center section, second from the end. The only complaint I had was the speaker was blocking my view of the left side of the stage, so when David was introducing the whole band, I couldn't see the horns side. I also only got to see David's profile unless if he came down on my side. But I wasn't going to complain. Hey, I was in front row! How lucky can one be. First song, 'I Can Feel Your Heartbeat'.
Second song was'C C Rider'. I only heard him sing this on the Live album, never in person.
Third song was 'Summer Days'. He always says where were you in the Summer of 72. I was only 16.
Fourth song, 'I'll Meet You Halfway'. I love how he sings this to the audience. I always feel since David won't come to me, I had to come to him in Vegas, my way of meeting him halfway.
While sitting, adjusting the microphone and joking with the audience, he then talked to the audience. He is just so funny. Talked about EFX, Copa. Talked about freedom, didn't sing 'God Bless America' or the Anthem.
Next song was 'Echo Valley 26809'. He does the same bit with the cell phone, saying nowadays we use cell phones, dialing the number, "Hello, Operator, get me Echo Valley 26809". The operator (Lisa) said, "I am sorry, you have reached the disconnected decade".
He then said how we should give thanks this Thanksgiving weekend (in the USA).
He talked about the Green Bay Packers (football team in the US). I was praying he wouldn't bring up the Detroit Lions, because Green Bay played our Detroit Lions on Thursday, Thanksgiving.
Next song, 'Try a Little Tenderness'. At one point, he got down on his knees and did the pelvic thrust. Wish I was dead center at that time.
Next song, 'River Deep Mountain High' with Candace Davis-Martin. She does it better than at the Copa, my opinion. She is so skinny. Her outfit was a black see-thru top, with a black bra underneath, with black lace skin tight leggings. They do the togetherness part, David doing the pelvic thrusts behind her. Everyone went mad.
No one took pictures until halfway into the concert, so I brought out my camera. I was two seats away from the security, and he didn't say a word to me about using it.
Next song, 'Mack the Knife'.
Next song, one of my favorites,'Ain't No Sunshine'. He announced he had a new CD in the UK. It went #5, gold record.
'Rock Me Baby', some of us got up out of our seats, and the security guards came to put us back in out seats. David said, "Let them stand up". You go, David!! It's a good thing he doesn't do the talking part, the women would go crazy. He sang recreation, not education, like on the CD.
He strung up his lingerie he received from the audience on his mic. One of them was for one of the band members, Neal.
Then a fan touched David's leg. She said she was so close she couldn't help herself. David said, "Don't stop there", and she rubbed her hands up and down David's leg. Then David asked us in the front row how it was to look up someone's nostrils throughout the concert.
Next song, the ultimate song, 'Cherish'. The women came up to the stage with flowers, kissing, hugging David, shaking his hand. I didn't go for the gusto, just shook his hand. It was during 'Cherish' that David sang the song to a young fan. Her name was Jamie, about 10 or 11 years old. She was singing, forehead to forehead along with David, all the time holding her hand. She looked so cute. I took her picture, but didn't know where she sat. I wanted to send it to her.
Next song, 'I Woke Up In Love This Morning'.
Then he introduced the band and the back-up singers. And led into 'Come On Get Happy'.
The infamous 'I Think I Love You'. Thanked us for our bravery for coming out to see him.
David ended with 'Hollywood Nights' by Bob Seger. He did a great job. He was fantastic, he was great, he was sexy. What more can I say, he is David. It will forever be a night for me to remember.
