Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. Mt. Pleasant, MI
I went to see David at Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant, MI last night and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! He sang beautifully (as always) and he even played the drums. He did two sets with a ten minute intermission. He didn't do an encore. He seemed a little miffed at the security. He told us that this was our night and to enjoy ourselves to get up and dance and have a good time, but the security kept telling everyone to sit down and to back away from the stage. So I think that is why he didn't do the encore. Really don't know for sure why.
He did have a meet and great before the show and you only got in for that if you had paid extra. That wasn't so great for a lot of us.
I did go and ask if I could see him as I have met with him many times before and showed an old pic of me with him and he said yes. When I got into the room and had walked up the steps he had said "Come here." With the gesture of his index finger telling me so. He also said, "Look at you! You're gorgeous!" Well, I need to explain this, as most don't know, that the last time David saw me in Oct 2001 I weighed 120 lbs more than what I do now. He was so proud of me and impressed that I had done it. I did get 4 pictures with him but not much time as he was ready to go on stage. But he made me feel great by saying it.
I'm glad that I got to see him again. And I am sure it won't be the last. I took over 100 pictures of the concert. I had front row seats but they were off to the left of the stage so they are kind of one sided but they are good.
There also was a guy with a bus that he transformed into a replica of "The Partridge Family" Bus and he even let us go inside and be on it. It was fun.
Well, I hope all that see him in the concerts to come have a good time. I know I did.
