Mohegan on Saturday

November 4, 2006
Mohegan Sun Wolf Den, Uncasville, CT

I left home at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning heading for Mohegan. I flew to Newark and then connected to Providence. I drove straight to my hotel in Uncasville, changed clothes, and ran over to the casino. I arrived at 6:15 and we were let into the Wolf Den at 6:30! Nothing like cutting it short!

Joyce and Amy were already in line so I knew I had a spot, but I was really worried I'd miss the seating time. Well I didn't, I made it just in time, and the girls had a good spot in line too. So I was a little princess and just got in line and walked right in the Wolf Den, no waiting LOL! Love it! Thank you so much Amy and Joyce for doing that. Felicia also sat with us.

The front tables by the stage were reserved once again (even though when I've contacted Mohegan on several occasions to bitch about the seating, they always claim they do not reserve seats!). So we had a table behind the front tables, which was really good. We started positioning our chairs to make the mad dash to the stage when the band came out. If you've never seen this mad dash, it is most comical. A hundred grown women suddenly bolt from their chairs and stampede to the front. At the stage it is, um, "cozy" LOL..like body-to-body, squish squish, elbow-elbow-elbow, LOL, you get the picture. I was lucky enough to get a girl right next to me who would not stop jumping up and down and waving her arms in my face. Then she had an album and insisted that David look at it, whether he was singing or not, and finally I think David got real sick of looking at it, so he took it and held it up for display but would not sign any autographs. So then she was yelling "sign it, sign it" and then came her camera, which was up in the air above her head most of the evening. Why do people have to be so selfish that they only think of themselves, this girl was most irritating and rude and continually bumping someone. Several times she said "sorry miss" to me and that was irritating me even MORE, if she would have called me "miss" one more time I think I may have done something bad that I'd regret!!! Then she was yelling out HAPPY BIRTHDAY to David, and he just looked at her strangely and said "My birthday is in April." I ended up going back to the table to get away from her.

David was most excellent! He looked wonderful and is always so happy at Mohegan. I've heard him say this many times, Mohegan is his favorite place to play in the whole world. And it shows on his face. I was super excited this time to get some pics, as Norm gave me a digital camera to use.

It was great to see so many people I've met from DC shows. There were lots of UK girls there, quite an impressive showing! Thanks so much to everyone who brought me gifts, I love you all! It was really nice to finally meet Terena, hi Terena, love ya hon!

Let me tell you what Rose brought me LOL. First she warned me by saying, "I brought you 3 things, two you will not like.." Well the first thing was a BEAUTIFUL 8x10 pic of David in a very nice silver frame. OK I love that one, what's the other two things?

A jar of Marmite and a jar of Vegemite. Ooooh yuk!!!!!!!! They look disgusting! But it was quite funny LOL! And NO NO NO, I am not going to compare the two!!!!!! They both look brown and, well, gross!!! I'll tell you what Rose, I'll store those in my pantry and if you ever come visit, they're all yours. Same for anyone who would like to come on over, free marmite and vegemite!!! Senga????

I had ordered a camisole tank top from a custom shirt company that said I LOVE DAVID and I was wearing it under a blazer. I waited until David looked my way and then I held my blazer open on both sides and kind of shimmied my shoulders. Hard to explain in words LOL, but he definitely LOOKED, opened his eyes wide, and then grinned an evil grin and winked at me! And believe it or not, Norm told me to do this! Serious, when I was picking my outfits for the show, I always model for Norm and he says yes or no. So then after the show when I called Norm, he said "did you show him the shirt?" and I said "yes, just like you told me to" and Norm said "what did he do?" and I said "um, he liked it." LOL, what was I supposed to say!!!!

At the first table, right behind where I was standing, Charlotte's husband was wearing a shirt that had the word CASSIDY inside a red circle with a slash through it. It was quite funny, and David saw it and asked him to show the audience. Charlotte's husband (sorry don't know his name) said "welcome to my hell" and David said "No, welcome to MY hell!!!!"

Somebody had a silky scarf with the PF-style coloring, you know, those colored boxes like on the PF bus. David played with it a bit while singing, and then put it behind his butt and pulled it from side to side like he was a stripper or something, it was hilarious! Then he gave it back to the girl who gave it to him.

The show seemed rather short and there was no encore, but it was a great show anyway. As soon as David was done, they asked everyone to leave the Wolf Den so that they could put some sports thing on the big screen. We reluctantly left but knew we got to see him again tomorrow, yay!
