My weekend with David Cassidy - Part 1

This past weekend was of the greatest times of my life. I am from Iowa and a big fan of David Cassidy. When I saw the 2 New Jersey concerts come up I decided to travel to NJ to see both shows. My husband travels there a lot on business so he is somewhat familiar with that area.
The first concert was in Sewell at the performing Arts center. A really nice place to perform. I had not seen DC since July 4th of 06 at an outdoor concert in Minneapolis /St Paul this past summer.
I had front row seats in the orchestra pit, right up to the stage. They were great seats. I had DC right in front of me all night! I saw some of his regular fans there too. This was my 8th and 9th time seeing David.
It was so good to see him when he walked out onto the stage. He wore the usual black pants and white shirt. Had on a new watch! He changed to a green shirt after the intermission. He looked great and sounded great.
He was putting on the moves too! He was in a really nice mood too. After a few songs, I went up to the stage to touch him. He was singing and looking at the partridge family shirt on that I wore and made for the show. He stopped singing. Asked me to turn around and face the crowd and show my shirt with the spotlight on us and his arm around me! It was so cooooool!!!!
It all happened so fast so my husband did not get a picture of it.(If any of you out there reading this did, please contact me, would love the picture!)
He sang some of the usual songs but sang a song he said he never practiced called Crossroads. It went over well, even though I did not know anything about the song.
During the show, someone managed to unbutton his shirt as he bent down to see his fans. He later signed a few autographs of things that people brought up. I had to help hold a couple things so he could sign and talk/sing at the same time.
There was a short intermission and he came back out to sing some more. I touched him a few times as the concert went on. He sang for about an hour and a half. thank everyone for coming and left the stage. He did not come back out for an encore. It was so awesome. At the show during the intermission, I met a DC fan from Pennsylvania, that is here on myspace. It was so nice to connect a picture to a face. I hope we can do it again. The best was yet to come. I will be getting to part 2 soon and the meeting of DC at the second concert. Thanks for reading!
