David in Primm Nevada

We flew into Las Vegas and drove to Buffalo Bill's in Primm, which was about 35 miles. Along the drive, there were several billboards advertising the upcoming entertainers, so I was watching for a David billboard. I started screaming THERE HE IS, THERE HE IS, and Norm said JEEZ CALM DOWN it's just a billboard!! But I had to pull the car over and take a picture LOL!
We left the car with the valet at Buffalo Bill's and went inside. Right in front of the registration desk was a great poster of David. I was so impressed that the casino was advertising him everywhere, and I LOVE the poster, what a great pic!! Time for another picture LOL.
We dropped our bags in our room and went back to the casino to find a snack. Everything was closed except for McDonalds, so we had some gourmet burgers and fries LOL and went to check out the rest of the place. There were David posters EVERYWHERE. They really did a good job advertising him. Some of the posters were giant banner sized..I was thinking how badly I wanted one LOL. But they were waaaay up high, hanging from the ceiling.
There was a live band playing in the casino, so we headed for the slot machines in front of the band. I saw some nickel machines and thought I'd try them, although I've always said why gamble if it's just a nickel. Well about 5 minutes later I won 800 nickels ($40.00) and was thrilled to go back to my room $40 richer!!! Too bad it wasn't dollars.
The room was horrible and dirty and I would never stay there again. The TV didn't work on any channel, there was no clock radio/alarm at all, and the bathroom had dried soap scum/toothpaste/whatever all over the floor under the sink. There were old potato chips and sunflower seeds on the carpet and I seriously doubt a vacuum cleaner had been in that room in the past month or so. Yuk!
The next day I went to the box office, because the entertainment manager there had told me that "sometimes" closer seats become available on the day of the show. The people in the box office were not nice and very unwilling to help me. I came back 3 different times during the day and asked about seats, and 3 different people all told me NO without even checking anything. I wasn't a high roller so I didn't matter.
The entire front/center section of tickets was reserved for casino people. Half the seats were empty. They put David in a giant arena that wasn't even 1/10 full. There were security guys sitting about every 6 feet in front of the stage. They absolutely would not let anyone get up. Kinda ruins the fun if nobody can dance or stand or get up by the stage. A few times during the show, David specifically pointed out people and motioned them to come to him. Even then, the security tried to stop them, and David had to say "NO LET HER COME UP." I saw 3 different people "escorted" from the front row for being overly intoxicated.
This was one of the funniest things I've ever seen: a woman had a PF lunchbox, waving it at David. He saw it and told her to come up. She was in the 2nd or 3rd row and had a bit of trouble getting up there. When she got up there, he took the lunchbox, and then shook it, and said "OMG, do you have the thermos too?" and he opened the box, and sure enough, she also had the thermos. David signed the box, then the thermos (telling her to hold it still for him as he signed). Then she had a single of ITILY, and he also signed that. (This was one LUCKY WOMAN!!). Then he told her to stay there, and he sang to her. I think it was Cherish? Not sure. THEN...omg this was great...David was on his knees, he bent to this girl, and as he was singing to her, he started stroking her hair, from the front to the back, several times, and then took off her glasses, and then he LAID ON THE EDGE OF THE STAGE right in front of her, still singing, all the while she is DYING! Then he kissed her on the lips and told her she was great!!
The songs during the night were mostly "remix" versions, although Craig J and the backup singers weren't there. I thought it was really strange that there were background voices in most of the songs but no girls up there! Since when does David use recorded backup voices!
During the acoustic guitar part on the stool, David told everyone that John Lennon came to his house in 1963. I think he's getting his stories mixed up, he usually says "New Years Eve, from 1974 into 1975." (I would hope he wasn't drinking with John Lennon when he was 13 years old!). Then he laughed at the audience for not knowing when to say "HEY" during "Hide Your Love Away"..but he had never explained it beforehand to begin with!
At least 3 times during the night, David snored into the microphone, making fun of the dead crowd. Everybody was just sitting there like they were sleeping. He said "I guess that hot sun really DOES take a lot out of a person!" I also saw many people get up right in the middle of songs and walk out. THAT is the reason that the casino should be seating his fans in the front, not the casino gamblers. I really felt bad for David, the crowd was awful. There were the usual chatty girls talking on cell phones during the show, and David sarcastically said "Hey, what the heck, feel free to call your friends and chat or whatever.."
At the very end, during ITILY and the encore (I'll Meet You Halfway), they finally let people come to the stage. I tried to run up there but I didn't even get close to David.
I just hope David wasn't staying at that hotel, because it was really bad.
And by the way, Terri is still David's drummer.
