La Mirada Theater for the Perfoming Arts. La Mirada, CA

Hi everyone,

I wanted to give you my update of the concert on Saturday- I flew from Laramie Wyoming with my husband to see the concert in La Mirada California. The concert was 8:00pm in a super cozy theatre. I was concerned how he would be at the concert because at times I have read that he can get very frustrated or upset with fans. However in this concert he was so sincere and he was just having a good time.

I recognized a few people because of the website and their stories. Joyce who gives him a "lei" was there, also Cat was in the front row as well. I was in the third row and what great seats. I met a lady from the UK who came to see David. All the way from UK, wow he has a very loyal following.

He had a mixture of new and old songs and what a great variety! He played "Crossroads" right at the beginning of the concert and it was powerful. He did a very emotional and very sincere speech at the end and it brought a few tears to my eyes. You realize he is just human like the rest of us.

I was truly amazed with the band and the performance just blew me away. These days music is so synthetic but his concert was all about true musicians. I can't say I love him because I don't know him. But I do love his music and I have so much respect for him as a human being and as a great musician-At the beginning he spoke about how blessed he was to have such a wonderful wife, children and brothers-He spoke so lovingly about his mom that it made me shed a few tears. That voice is still smooth and breathy as ever and he is so versatile with his music. Not many people are that versatile with their voice and music. The last time I saw him in concert was in Denver Colorado in 1972, I had to wait 35 years to see him a again and it was well worth it. I am sorry that I do not have pictures but cameras were not allowed. I do know some fans took pictures and videos with their cells phones and I hope they share them with all of you.

Thank you for having your web site and allowing me to share my fan tale!!!!

Best,
Sophia Beck
