Concert Review
B.B. King Blues Club, New York, NY
January 10, 2015
From 12 year old Bobby Getchell III:
I went to see David Cassidy at B.B. Kings in New York City and I thought the show was great! You could tell that everything that the band and David were playing/singing was not lip/instrument-syncing. He was very interactive with the audience and was very funny. His band was also great, and they all seemed like they were having a good time playing. David told short interesting stories and also showed his respect to John Lennon, B.B. King, and Davy Jones. 10/10 would see again.
The 12 year old's father's review:
DC was completely connected with the music. His movements reacted with breaks, changes in tempo, cymbal hits, perfectly. He seemed to really be grooving along with bass and drums. We witnessed a vocal showcase as he proved how well his voice is, still after 40 years. David Cassidy's control of his singing smooth or seductive comes off natural and effective; excellent emotional showcase with introductions. David talked to his crowd as if we where all old friends sitting at the table having a coffee with him. The personal touch in each story makes you feel as if you just spoke one on one . Gifted! Wow, DC jumped on the drum kit, very cool and he played lead guitar on a few. He recovered from a few off notes due to an out of tune string on his guitar real smooth also. DC was moving his hips, wiggling his shoulders. If he had the long hair it would have looked like the moves of a young man, all done with his natural rhythm. Total class act.
This man David Cassidy still has it. True fans - Do not miss this tour. Bobby Getchell jr.
