Café Largo

David appeared in “Are We Deep or What? - An evening of Shallow Personalities” at the Café Largo in Hollywood. (Café Largo was named "LA's Best Supper Club" in 1990 by LA Weekly)
From 1989 until 1992, Café Largo hosted Poetry In Motion, a weekly series of spoken word performances. The series drew a huge variety of talent (writers, actors, poets, musicians, celebrities) and much critical acclaim. Performances ranged from sublime to ridiculous and from profound to comical. Occasionally, some performers took themselves a bit too seriously. Ron Zimmerman and Michael des Barres wrote and produced this parody of the event. Other performers on the night were: Drew Barrymore, Scott Baio, Laraine Newman, Pamela des Barres, Howie Mandel, Katey Sagal, Ally Sheedy, Patti d'Arbanville, Marjorie Gross, Michael des Barres and Ron Zimmerman.
