My name is Weronika Cyrynger, I’m a David Cassidy fan from Poland and the author of the blog called ‘David Cassidy Being Together’.
It has passed many, many years since I’ve heard ‘How Can I Be Sure’ for the first time, but I still remember the emotion I felt, and I still love that song. I was an undercover fan, David wasn’t known in Poland and if only as an American bubble gum teen idol from the 70s , a singer for little girls. I never saw him in concert and I watched The Partridge Family and listened to all his songs truly speaking only after he’d died. But he had and has a great impact on my life.
Because of him I've discovered a whole world of American and English tv programmes and music from the 70s, music which was never played on our radio at the time. I’ve met new friends, David’s fans , and those wonderful English ladies became my friends in real life. Because of him I’ve gone for a trip around the UK and also been to the USA for the first time in my life. And because of David Cassidy I’ve also understood a lot about myself, about addictions , dealing with depression, I’ve discovered that I’m not afraid to speak my own voice, and do what I love doing, whatever people think about it. And last but not least I enjoy his music every day , he was a great singer and I love his songs.
There are so many things I’m grateful for and I feel I'm in debt, so on December 20th 2020 I've started writing a blog called ‘David Cassidy Being Together’. ‘Being Together’ is David’s song from ‘Cherish’ album but it’s also my idea of us, fans, from all over the world, being together. I'm just overwhelmed by the number of people who read my posts. And I don't write about David Cassidy's private life, or anything controversial, I don’t post David’s pics. I want to write about facts, about his music and acting, charity work, his legacy. My blog is read in the UK, USA,Spain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Holland, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Iceland , Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates. I hope those people are learning something from my posts about this outstanding man and artist, David Cassidy.
