Come on, Get Walking! 2nd Annual “David Cassidy Tribute Walk”

This was posted by the organiser: Please join us as we start the evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) located at 11 West 53rd St. between 5th and 6th Avenue. (Free admission on Fridays after 4:00 p.m.!) We will visit Piet Mondrian’s artwork that inspired the Partridge Family bus! If you have a Mondrian-like T-shirt or leggings, please wear them as we snap a picture by this famous painting!
Next stop, the Broadhurst Theater at 44th St. where David started his professional acting career in “The Fig Leaves are Falling” -- again PHOTO OP! We will play and sing along to “Hush”. If you don’t know the story behind that song, we will fill you in. The celebrating is just beginning as we head across the street to the famous Sardi’s Restaurant-- home of all the famous celebrity caricatures including David Cassidy!!! Jack Cassidy, Shirley Jones, Shaun and Patrick Cassidy are there too! What fun to sit near these caricatures, chat, laugh, perhaps sing very quietly, lol maybe even shed a tear or two, and toast happy birthday to David!!!
Anyone that attends this event will be in a raffle to win a very special prize. It was such a big success last year, so we will continue shedding light and love in memory of David Cassidy by distributing “Socks & Lollipops” to any homeless friends in need along our tribute walk route. A lot of us who are now good friends, met for the first time at this awesome event last year! If you are feeling uncomfortable to show up by yourself, please know that most everyone last year came without knowing anyone from the group. This amazing event was created by Karen Nocera Ranieri. From the organiser: The Jack Cassidy video was shared on David's birthday 4/12/2021, during the 4th Annual David Cassidy (Virtual) Tribute Walk - which celebrated David's 71st birthday along with special guests, games and other fun. Due to the pandemic, it was a virtual live, interactive event, joined by fans from across the world.
