An anthem to help Los Angeles recover from the riots was unveiled. Singer David Cassidy co-wrote Stand And Be Proud with Sue Shifrin.
More than 2000 singers and musicians recorded Stand And Be Proud at the Hollywood Bowl. The song was debuted exactly 3 months after the riots began and is intended to raise money to rebuild LA.
