In Search of the Partridge Family
VH1 created this series of a nationwide search to cast contestants to battle it out for the sitcom leads in "The New Partridge Family." The show contained behind-the-scenes look at the hopeful contenders. "Keiths," "Lauries," "Shirleys," and "Dannies" hope to impress their judges -- and America -- with their singing, acting, and resemblance to the original "Partridge" stars. Only eight hopefuls for each characters made it to the six-episode reality competition that determined the sitcom cast.

After the final episode the "family" was immediately whisked away to begin rehearsals for a sitcom pilot which was due to premiere on Saturday, January 22, 2005.
