Title: They Shoot Managers, Don't They?

Synopsis:

Danny thinks that The Partridge Family’s manager, Reuben Kincaid, needs a wife. But his attempt to organize a date for Reuben, with a girl called Bonnie Kleinschmidt, doesn’t end well. Shirley explains to Danny that he shouldn’t interfere, but while talking with him she reminds herself that she knows someone who could be a perfect match for Reuben. Cathleen D’Arcy, a woman who once worked with Shirley at the bank. She’s become a wealthy businesswoman and manufactures cosmetics.

Shirley asked Reuben and Cathleen to a barbecue, and they fell in love with each other. They are very sure of their feelings and soon announce to the family their happy news. Reuben and Cathleen are going to marry and want to spend their honeymoon in Paris.

At first the Partridges are very happy for their manager and his fiancé. However, Cathleen wants Reuben to work with her, for her firm, so he has to resign from managing The Partridge Family. The kids and Shirley can’t disguise their sadness. they realize that Reuben is important to them as a manager and also as a friend.

Reuben sets up the last booking for the family and after a very sad goodbye to Shirley and kids he leaves.

The Partridge Family go to Seattle for their show, but it turns out that the new management is not good. Instead of a suite they get a room too small for them, the new press agent hasn’t come, and Shirley gets a phone call informing her that according to contract the family have to give three shows instead of two shows. Keith is also very disappointed by the sound system at the concert hall.

Danny knows that only Reuben can save them and phones their former manager for help and advice. To the great joy of the entire family, Reuben very quickly arrives at the hotel to get everything straight. But what’s with Cathleen? At last Reuben confesses to Shirley that the marriage was called off because Cathleen has told him that, unlike Reuben, she doesn’t like kids. Everything is back to normal.
