The Partridge Family - Season 2, Episode 21 (46)
Title: Promise Her Anything, But Give Her A Punch
First aired: February 18, 1972
Synopsis:
When Shirley is folding the laundry she notices that buttons are missing from Danny's shirt. She questions Danny and finds out Gloria Hickey tore them off and that she hates Danny because he threw a mudball to the back of her head.
When Gloria arrives at the Partridges selling girl scout cookies, Danny buys the whole lot from her. This makes the rest of the family tease Danny about his crush on her, which he subsequently denies.
Danny wants to ask Gloria to the school dance. The family help Danny with their own particular advice about girls.
Gloria turns up at the house to ask Keith to the school dance but Shirley and Laurie think she is talking about Danny and tell Gloria that he has a crush on her. Gloria can't believe her luck and tells Shirley and Laurie that she can't believe Keith would want to go out with her.
Realising their mistake Shirley and Laurie tell Keith he has to sort out the problem with Gloria. Danny finds out and blames Keith for stealing his girlfriend and retaliates by playing pranks on Keith.
Keith invites Gloria over to fix the problem. Shirley tells Danny he is being unfair blaming Keith and shouldn't give up on Gloria. Danny decides he'll fight for his girl and bursts in as Keith is just about to refuse Gloria. Gloria is upset that Keith doesn't like her, but then changes her mind about Danny because he was willing to fight for her. In the end Gloria asks Danny to take her to the dance.
